Youth Strategic Plan

STRATEGIC PLAN

The Eastern Region Youth Committee has come up with the following strategy. This is not to be a static list but a foundation to be built on in the future.

  • To provide support and advice for Eastern Region Branches in recruiting and developing young activists.

  • Work with Branches to recruit Branch Youth Officers and establish Branch Youth committees.

  • Support CWU National and Regional campaigns e.g. Agency Workers, affordable housing, decent pensions and anti far right.

  • Support CWU Organised Events e.g. youth conference, RYEE, NYEE.

  • Develop new communication networks

  • Regional Youth Secretary to forge greater links with ALL Eastern Regional Committees

  • Consider running a youth forum in the Eastern Region

  • Organise alongside Region to run workshops/Courses designed for young activists. (Climate Solidarity Training)

  • Raise Political awareness with youth members in the region and encourage youth activists to become more involved in decisions affecting public life.

The plan is ambitious but achievable and sets out our campaign priorities
