Roles & Responsibilities
CHAIR
- To Chair meetings of the YAC and Youth Conference.
- To represent the YAC at meetings of the NEC and PET sub-committees (currently there are 9 NEC meetings and 8 PET meetings per year).
- To work with Head Office to progress YAC business.
- To take a leading role in representing the YAC at Conference.
- To take a leading role at the National Youth Education Event.
- To undertake such training as maybe necessary and available to fulfil these duties.
VICE CHAIR
- To work with and substitute for the YAC Chair in pursuit of the Chair's responsibilities.
- To undertake such training as maybe necessary and available to fulfil these duties.
YAC MEMBERS
- To attend and contribute to the four scheduled meetings of the Committee, the National Youth Education Event, The Branch Youth Officers Forum, Youth Conference and Induction Course.
- To maintain contact with CWU Head Office including advising of any problems discharging their responsibilities.
- To respond to requests for information and comment from CWU Head Office.
- To act as the YAC contact point for a specified Regional Youth Committee
- To produce a minimum of one Blog or News Story for http://www.cwuyouth.org/ a month.
- To produce a minimum of one story per edition of the Youth Magazine.
- To attempt to secure release in good time from their employer in pursuance of their responsibilities.
