Robin Hood Campaign
Up and down the country, more than 60 councils are calling for a UK Robin Hood Tax: to fight against cuts to frontline services and to ensure the financial sector pays for the damage that it has caused the British economy and beyond.
With cuts to local government budgets projected to be around 43% until 2016, we've heard from councillors and their constituents in every region of the country on how these austerity measures are being meted out on those who can least afford it.
Raising as much as £20 billion of additional revenue a year, the Robin Hood Tax has big potential to provide a substantial new source of funding for frontline services.
So far 62 councils from across the UK have backed the call to Bring Robin Home. Representing a quarter of the population, councillors and their constituents have stood up and are demanding the financial sector pays for the damage that it has caused the British economy and beyond.
